John Donofrio


Mr. Donofrio is a Founder and Partner of Bernhard Capital Partners. He also serves as General Counsel and is involved in all areas of the firm’s investment activities, but takes a leadership role in structuring most contractual obligations.

Prior to founding Bernhard Capital Partners, Mr. Donofrio worked for The Shaw Group Inc. for three and a half years where he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Before his time at The Shaw Group Inc., Mr. Donofrio was Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Visteon Corporation, a global automotive supplier. From 2000 to 2005 Mr. Donofrio served as Vice President and General Counsel for Honeywell Aerospace. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Intellectual Property for Honeywell Corporation for four years. Prior to his time at Honeywell, Mr. Donofrio was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Mr. Donofrio currently serves on the board of FARO Technologies, Inc. and is presently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Louisiana State University, where he teaches Corporate Governance.

Mr. Donofrio received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers and J.D. from George Washington University’s National Law Center.
